Chapter Philanthropy

As part of Sigma’s philanthropy, we aspire to learn, lead and give. Our motto is Sigma Serves Children. Sigma donates to the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation which benefits the Robbie Page Memorial Fund and March of Dimes. As part of the Robbie Page Memorial Fund, we have a partnership with Boston’s Franciscan Children’s Hospital where we volunteer at the hospital and help children in treatment through play therapy. March of Dimes funds research and leading awareness campaigns to prevent birth defects and premature birth. As the Epsilon Chi Chapter of Sigma, we host a variety of philanthropy events throughout the year to benefit the foundations. In the past we have held a virtual concert with local artists and NEU students to benefit the March of Dimes. We have also hosted a Milkshake for Miracles event, Bachelor Brackets (Rose to Rose Bracket, winners receive gift cards to local businesses, all proceeds go to March of Dimes), and local restaurant fundraisers. Epsilon Chi has also partnered with a frat on campus, Beta Theta Pi, to put on a philanthropy event called SigmaBetaGrams. As part of this event, members of Sigma and Beta table for university students to purchase singing telegrams for Valentines Day. All the proceeds raised through this event go to a charity that Sigma and Beta choose. Some of our biggest fundraisers lately have been Boba for Babies and Pie a Tri.
