Chapter Officers

Ellen Efkarpidis

President

Hey guys! My name is Ellen and I’m a third-year studying Political Science and Business Administration with a concentration in Management. I am currently serving as Epsilon Chi’s President! Outside of Sigma, I’m a staff writer for the Northeastern Undergraduate Law Review and a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. I’m originally from Long Island (Port Washington, NY), and I decided to rush because I wanted to find a community of like-minded women to make a big campus feel just a little bit smaller. Joining Sigma was the best decision I made as a freshman, and I’m so grateful for the experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met. I’ve created some of my closest friendships through Sigma and I have always felt so supported by this chapter. Sigma has brought me out of my comfort zone and become my home away from home.

Tori Assis

Vice President of Operations

Hi!! My name is Tori Assis and I’m a third year Cybersecurity and Criminal Justice major from Stamford, CT. My job is to make sure that everything runs smoothly, I take care of chair operations, member participation, and attendance. Outside of Sigma I TA for Fundies 2 and I’m also involved in a number of clubs like Cheese Club, CJSAC, and WiCys. I joined Sigma during my second year in Fall 2022. I wanted to find a diverse community on campus that would welcome me with open arms and feel super connected to Northeastern. My favorite sigma memory is every single big little reveal. It’s super exciting to see families grow within sigma and it’s always so amazing to make new members feel more integrated into our chapter. Sigma is not just a sorority it’s literally just a big friend group. Everyone is so unique and amazing and I swear it was the best decision I’ve ever made!

Abby Boyer

Vice President of New Member Education

Hey everyone! My name is Abby Boyer. I am currently a third year Behavioral Neuroscience and Philosophy major on the pre-med track, and I am from Plymouth, Michigan. I currently serve as Tri Sigma’s Vice President of New Member Education. In my position, I support and educate all of our new members (with the help of my amazing team) to prepare them to become initiated members of Epsilon Chi. Outside of Sigma, I am also a CSSH Ambassador, I play on Northeastern’s club Water Polo team, and I am in AMSA. I joined Sigma as soon as I came back from NU.in Ireland my freshman year, and my membership in the chapter has been the best part of my college experience so far. When I came back, I struggled to find my place on campus and strong friendships, so I rushed to hopefully find a home at Northeastern. During my recruitment process, I immediately found people that I clicked with, and I felt so welcomed by the sisters once I joined. I am so grateful that I found this amazing group of girls, and I will forever be thankful to Sigma for making me the best possible version of myself, trusting me as a leader, and giving me the best lifelong friendships. I am so excited to share our chapter with a new group of new mems, so please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions!

Lexi Blanco

Vice President of Harm Reduction

Hey ya’ll! My name is Lexi Blanco and I’m a second year majoring in Public Health with a plan to attend law school after my five years here at Northeastern. I am the Vice President of Harm Reduction for Epsilon Chi, and my focus is on member safety! When I’m not hanging out with other Sigmas, you can either find me spending time with Survivor: Northeastern (another club that I’m a part of), thrifting, or visiting as many coffee or sushi places as possible. I grew up moving around a lot and so when I came to college, I wanted to find a place where I could call home even when I wasn’t in college anymore. I rushed Tri Sigma in Fall 2021 and can honestly say that it’s one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I used to be very shy and Sigma has taught me that I have what it takes to be a leader for something that is bigger than me and hopefully make an impact for others as Tri Sigma has done for me. I’m so lucky to have these people in my life and I don’t know what I would do without them. Please reach out with any questions you may have!

Maria Graham

Director of Chapter Growth

Hi Everyone! I’m Maria and I’m a third year Health Sciences and Psychology major. I grew up in Marlton, NJ, but I’m originally from northern Virginia. I am our chapter’s Director of Chapter Growth! I handle all things recruitment related, as well as our instagram, @trisigmanu, this website, and promoting our chapter on campus! Outside of Sigma, I’m the Director of Campus Services in the Student Government Association and a member of the Northeastern Police Department Advisory Board. I joined Sigma because I wanted to be a part of a community of women on campus! Throughout high school, I sang in an all-girls choir. When I started college, I felt like something was missing from my life. I was missing the friendships and community of my all-girls choir, and wanted to find something similar on campus. Sigma has given me the sense of community that I was looking for, and has truly changed my college experience for the better. Having a support system of women, with all different personalities and interests, has been so amazing. The connections I have made through Sigma are irreplaceable. I’ve found my roommates, my study-buddies, and closest friends through this chapter. Sigma has become my home away from home, and I cannot wait to welcome more additions to our family!

Kayla Traiger

Director of Member Development

Hey everyone! My name is Kayla Traiger, I am a third year Nursing major and wellness studies minor and I am from Worcester, MA. I am so excited to be this years Director of Member Development, which means I am in charge of everything academic and community service. My role is mainly to be a support system for all members and help them academically in any way I can. Outside of Sigma, I am a member of the Northeastern University Student Nursing Association, Hillel, and play intramural tennis. I joined Sigma my very first semester in 2021 and it was the best decision for me. My mom was a member of Sigma and she always told me great stories and introduced me to her friends and I couldn’t wait for the moment I could join a sorority. I was never pressured to join Sigma but I was just drawn to its sense of community. The diversity and how each member can be their own person is why I knew Sigma was the place for me. I studied abroad my next semester in Greece and when I came back I knew I had a whole group of amazing and supportive people waiting to welcome me back. Sigma has taught me so many skills and gave me so many relationships that I’ll have forever and for that I am so grateful.

Quinn Roche

Director of Panhellenic Relations

Hi everyone! My name is Quinn Roche and I’m a third-year History and Political Science major from Rye, NY. I’m the Panhellenic Delegate for Tri Sigma which means I help plan events and coordinate communication with other organizations in Greek Life! You can also find me at every Panhel meeting! Outside of Sigma, I’m a member of Trash2Treasure, and I dj for a radio show on WRBB. I joined Tri Sigma in the Fall of 2022 because I wanted to branch out socially and meet people outside of my major and my building. During recruitment, I had genuine conversations with the girls at Sigma, and always looked forward to coming back and talking with more members. I felt like I had found my home with like-minded people who would soon become some of my closest friends. Being in Sigma is the best decision I made because the sorority has given me lifelong friends, a sense of community on campus, and the confidence to take on leadership opportunities! Always feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about the chapter :)

Amelia Ruth

Director of Chapter Finances

Hi! My name is Amelia Ruth, I’m a fourth year majoring in Bioengineering and I’m from New York City. I’m Tri Sigma’s Director of Chapter Finance, which means I oversee everything money related, including member and national dues and the budget. I also oversee and plan our chapter’s philanthropy and fundraising events! Outside of Sigma, I am involved in the Society of Women Engineers and the Biomedical Engineering Society. With my first 2 years of college heavily impacted by COVID, I felt disconnected from the Northeastern community and was searching for a supportive, fun community. I found exactly this in Sigma and this chapter has truly transformed my college experience. During recruitment, I met such amazing women and I knew this was the right place for me. I wouldn’t be who I am today without Sigma. I’m so grateful Sigma has allowed me to grow as a person and as a leader. The friendships and experiences I have made are truly special.
